Type Ratings
Type Ratings are for pilots who wish to extend/enhance their ability to fly different types of helicopters. This may be for many reasons, which include personal goals or enhancement of employment prospects. In order to achieve a type rating, you are required to complete a successful qualifying flight with a qualified person as detailed in the Canadian Aviation Regulations. There is no set time for type ratings; it is dependent on individual skill levels and ability or specific company requirements.
