L R HELICOPTERS INC. has a strong history of giving back; we are committed to making a meaningful difference through contributions and community involvement, to helping the communities we share grow and prosper and to become better places to work and live.
Bragg Creek Relief Fund Society
The Alberta floods of 2013 caused overwhelming damage to those communities along the Elbow River.
In addition to rescue operations in Canmore and High River, L R HELICOPTERS INC. organized a one-day event, offering helicopter tours of the Bragg Creek area with 100% of the proceeds going to the Bragg Creek Relief Fund; over $6000 was raised to assist those affected by the flood to acquire the basic necessities they may otherwise go without.
Firefighters Burn Treatment Society
The Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Centre (CFBTC) at the Foothills Medical Centre provides treatment and therapy for burn victims as well as those who suffer from frostbite, hypothermia and other skin-loss injuries. The road to recovery is often long and difficult but with the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Centre their recovery will have the help of some first-rate equipment and highly trained staff.
CIBC Run for the Cure
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure has grown into the largest single day event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer in Canada. All the fundraising, donations, volunteer efforts and generous sponsorship culminate in an amazing expression of commitment in the pursuit of a future without breast cancer.
Brooks Kinsmen Club
Their mandate – “Serving the Community’s Greatest Need”; all of their fundraising efforts go directly back into the local community.
Children’s Miracle Network
Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have raised donations to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Royal Canadian Legion
The Royal Canadian Legion is Canada’s largest Veteran support and community service organization, making a difference in the lives of Veterans and their families, providing essential services within our communities, and remembering the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country.

Through positive action, education and support, the Edmonton Garrison Military Family Resource Centre enriches and supports individuals and families in the Canadian Armed as they navigate unique challenges through programs and services that enhance the strength and resilience of military families.
Youth Empowerment and Support Services
Youth Empowerment and Support Services is relentlessly dedicated to empowering youth from difficult realities and from all cultures, economic backgrounds, races, religions, communities, sexual orientations, and gender identities; every day they save the lives of youth at risk and in crisis.
The Third Academy
The Third Academy serves students who fit the Alberta Education criterion of special needs by creating a well-balanced, individualized, integrated, and intensive program for each student, designed to prepare them for re-entry into their community school as quickly as possible.
Redwood Meadows Emergency Services
Redwood Meadows Emergency Services is a volunteer fire department consisting of 44 members. While these brave men and women mainly service the area west of Calgary including Bragg Creek, Redwood Meadows and Springbank Airport, they will respond to the call when required outside of their normal service area.
Calgary Hornets Lacrosse
Run by a board of volunteers, it is the philosophy of the Calgary Hornet’s Lacrosse organization “to have fun and improve skills and fitness while teaching respect of the game, other players, coaches and officials”. It is easy to see why this fast-paced game has caught on considerably in the Calgary area.
Mustard Seed
The Mustard Seed has been an agent of change for more than three decades, combating the root causes of poverty in Alberta and working to create positive, lasting change in the lives of those they serve. The Mustard Seed provides basic services (shelter, food and clothing) and support services (including employment, health and wellness, and spiritual care), as well as housing to those in need.

Dear & Elk / Black Bear Workshop
The Western Black Bear and Deer & Elk Workshops are hosted by the Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development and Alberta Conservation Association in the beautiful Canadian Rockies of Alberta.
Telus Ride for Dad
The mission of the TELUS Ride for Dad is to raise funds to save men’s lives by supporting prostate cancer research and raising public awareness of the disease.
Their goal is for men to continue to be there for their families and friends for years to come. The parade of vehicles grabs the attention of the masses and the media on ride day, the research helps find hope for the future and the awareness has the potential of saving men’s lives today.
Hope Air
Since 1986, Hope Air has been arranging free flights to get financially-disadvantaged Canadians to the healthcare they need. Hope Air is the only registered, national charity that provides free flights to people who cannot afford the cost of an airline ticket to get to medical expertise or specialized medical technologies that usually exist only in larger urban centers.
Animal Rescue Foundation – ARF
The Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) of Alberta is an animal rescue organization helping dogs and cats in Alberta. Their mission is to rescue stray and unwanted dogs and cats from First Nations and rural areas and place them in loving, permanent homes while providing programs to reduce pet over-population; providing care, stability, medical assistance and lifelong homes for their rescue animals.
187 Foothills Royal Canadian Air Cadets
Royal Canadian Air Cadets is a national youth program for persons aged 12 to 19. It is administered by the Canadian Forces and funded through the Department of National Defence with additional support from the civilian Air Cadet League of Canada. Together with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets and Royal Canadian Army Cadets, it forms the “largest federally-funded youth program in the country”.
Rotary Club of Calgary Heritage Park
For more than 100 years Rotary has been active in Calgary and helping to make Calgary “A Better Community”.
Salvation Army Agapé Hospice
The Salvation Army Agapé Hospice provides a peaceful, compassionate and caring environment where those afflicted with a terminal illness can fully live out their remaining days with respect and dignity.
Airdrie Air Show
The Airdrie Air Regional Air Show features avionic acrobatic stunts performed by dare-devil pilots, military jets, and the world famous Canadian Snowbirds. There are several static displays, the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of a bomber or helicopter, and a chance to learn the history of some of Canada’s elite aircraft of both the past and present.
Aerospace Museum
The Aero Space Museum of Calgary provides a rich understanding and appreciation of the evolution of flight by telling stories related to their collections that provide inspiration to current and future generations.
