Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Ground Crew member. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the operations of our helicopter fleet and contributing to sales efforts by performing a variety of tasks, including: 

  • Clearing the apron or helipads, and dollies of debris, 
  • Visually inspecting the apron and removing foreign items found, prior to the aircraft’s arrival and departure,
  • Perform all boarding operations such as safely handling the loading and unloading of passenger bags,
  • Dispatch flights and safely align the helicopter way or order of departures,
  • Direct take-off and landing aircraft to taxi spots and marshalling the aircraft to their taxi location,
  • Clean helicopter(s) cockpit interior and exterior body as required,
  • Organize helicopters on the apron area and hanger storage,
  • Safety and efficiently pushing or towing aircrafts from and to the hanger,
  • Refueling aircraft; properly and efficiently as requires,
  • Be familiar with, daily hazard assessment, pre-flight checks, and pre-start flight operations, 
  • Work with little or no supervision,
  • If reasonably practicable perform additional assignments as per management and supervisor’s direction, 
  • Clean as you go and perform visual inspections as required,
  • Make proper use and adhere to all safety signs,
  • Always follow FOD management prevention practices,
  • Always follow all prescribed PPE and safer work practices,
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel logs,
  • Follow hangar door safety handling procedures,  
  • Assist pilots, and maintenance staff in keeping the hangar and area cleaned and organized, 
  • Use all required forms and use proper tools, 
  • Troubleshoot at a moment’s notice and report to management immediately, 
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company safety policies and procedures, 
  • Immediately report any unsafe practice or equipment failures to management, 
  • Assist the maintenance personnel with parking control, gate control, housekeeping, and terrain clearance management. 
  • Greeting and welcoming passengers and responding to questions.  
  • Communicate with pilots and other crew members to coordinate ground operations. 
  • Providing exceptional customer service to passengers and clients, assisting in sales inquiries, sending out estimates, booking services, and preparing proposals regarding our services. 
  • Promote additional services and packages to clients, enhancing their experience and meeting sales targets. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record  
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment 
  • Available full-time, 40 hours per week, may also be required to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the needs of the operation 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions 
  • Good communication skills and customer service skills 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
  • Previous experience in aviation or a related field is a plus, but not required 
  • Permanent Residents or Canadian citizens
