Position Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (April to October) 

Compensation: Our pay rates are competitive and reflect your experience, ranging from $26.44 to $50.48 per hour.

Working Hours: Anticipate a workweek between 40 to 85 hours, with the possibility of weekend shifts.

  • On-call duties
  • Weekend shifts, as required

Job Summary: 

L R HELICOPTERS INC. is seeking a skilled and certified Helicopter Pool Pilot with a strong background in AS350B3e operations. This role requires specialized experience in mountain terrain flying, longline operations, and extensive pilot-in-command experience. The successful candidate will ensure the highest levels of safety and service, adhering to all regulatory and company standards. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct flights according to scheduled operations, focusing on safety and efficiency. 
  • Operate AS350B3e helicopters in challenging environments, including mountainous terrains and varied weather conditions. 
  • Execute longline operations for aerial work (ex, wildfire operations), including lifting and precision placement tasks. 
  • Ensure compliance with all Transport Canada regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. 
  • Perform pre-flight inspections, and maintain accurate flight logs and records. 
  • Collaborate with ground crews to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols. 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC). 
  • Must hold a valid AS350B3e type rating. 
  • Proven experience in mountain flying and longline operations. 
  • Physically capable of performing duties in various environmental conditions. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office365, and other relevant computer applications. 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. 
  • Holder of a valid Canadian Commercial Pilot License – Helicopter. 
  • Holder of a valid Transport Canada Class 1 medical.  
  • Able to pass Transport Canada security screenings. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
